Syncopator has been working on a customized interactive kiosk, as a platform on which various creative ideas can be tested and given public exposure.

The first kiosk configuration was on display in the art show at the 2004 Contact Conference at NASA Ames in Moutain View, CA.   This version provided an experimental interactive "aquarium" that users could explore and discover the characteristics of several theoretical sea-creatures in a 3D simulated underwater environment.

The second kiosk configuration made its debut in the art show at Contact Conference 2005 in March, running the interactive "Lagoon of Tranquility."   The "Lagoon of Tranquility," is an experimental interactive video exhibit where participants are encouraged to feed virtual wildlife and observe their behaviours.

The third kiosk configuration made its debut in the art show at Contact Conference 2006 in March, running the "Sonic Carousel," an interactive musical exhibit where participants can interact with the carousel's "animals," each of which controls a section of a musical score.

Exciting new interactive visual and musical software has been prepared for the kiosk's fourth incarnation.   It will debut at the Contact Conference 2008 art show.  The latest info on this can be found here when available.
